Below you will find a collection of resources provided by the High School Counseling Department to support students and families with graduation requirements and career planning. Please note that while these resources are offered for your convenience and may be helpful in post-secondary planning, the school does not specifically endorse any individual organization, program, or service listed.

The SAT is administered at Garden Spot High School each spring.

Athletics
Students who plan to participate in Division I or Division II collegiate athletics are required to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. We encourage prospective student-athletes and their families to review the NCAA website for detailed information about divisional requirements, approved core courses, eligibility standards, and the wide range of sports offered. For additional assistance, the NCAA Eligibility Center (formerly known as the Clearinghouse) may be contacted directly at (877) 622-2321.

Information regarding SAT, PSAT, and AP testing is available through Collegeboard. Students who are not testing at Garden Spot High School during the school day must register for the SAT through the official testing website.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Scholarships and financial aid resources are available through the high school guidance office.
High School students receive weekly updates on scholarship opportunities via email from Mrs. Laudermilch. For seniors, most scholarship applications are available between January and March and can be accessed both through Naviance and as hard copies in the guidance office. Students are encouraged to check these resources regularly to stay informed and meet application deadlines.

The official website for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) provides information and resources for completing the FAFSA. Students must submit the FAFSA to be considered for federal financial aid for colleges and universities. For assistance, contact (800) 801-0576.

Richmond Pennock Scholarship
The Richmond-Pennock Family Scholarship supports current seniors and graduates of Garden Spot High School who are pursuing studies in dentistry, dental-related fields, or as a Registered Nurse. This opportunity is designed for students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to building careers in dental or as a RN. The scholarship typically opens in January each year, with an annual deadline in March. Applicants must complete an online application and submit the required materials, including a Student Authorization and Acknowledgements Form, official transcript, FAFSA Submission information, and a W-9 form.
